Irish alt-country songwriter Podge Lane has returned home following an extensive run of shows in the United States, marking the occasion with the release of his new single “Live Forever” and a string of Irish tour dates this March.
After relocating to the U.S. in early 2025, Lane quickly embedded himself in the New York live circuit, performing more than 150 shows. His performances included respected venues such as Pete's Candy Store, The Bitter End, and showcases with Big City Folk — platforms long associated with developing singer-songwriters and Americana talent.
Now back in his hometown of Kilworth, Ireland, Lane is bringing that sharpened live experience to Irish audiences before returning to New York in April.
Written during album recording sessions in New York, “Live Forever” captures the reflective weight of relocation and artistic pursuit. Rooted in alt-country textures, the track leans into intimate lyricism, warm acoustic foundations, and understated Americana instrumentation.
A year of relentless touring has clearly refined Lane’s delivery. The Dublin date at Whelan’s is a notable highlight, placing Lane on one of Ireland’s most respected live stages while supporting acclaimed American songwriter Samantha Crain.
