Dazaro Remo, a 25-year-old Argentine-Spanish pop artist, is one of the freshest voices on the scene, bringing a passion for theatrical, boundary-pushing pop to Dublin, where he relocated in June. Originally from the vibrant city of Mar del Plata in Buenos Aires, Remo has always been drawn to the arts, channeling his early love for singing and acting into an ambitious music career.

Though his journey into songwriting began in the solitude of the pandemic, it quickly became clear he had something worth sharing. His love for pop's legendary icons—Madonna, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, and Mariah Carey—is reflected in the bold, emotive soundscapes he creates, aiming to give listeners the same larger-than-life energy these artists evoked.

Remo's debut recording journey began serendipitously after meeting a musician with a studio in 2021, allowing him to capture his first demos. This led him to producer German Emanuel D’Aloia, who saw promise in his music, choosing to refine and co-produce four of those tracks. The singles that emerged in 2022—beginning with "Losing Perspective"—marked the start of his public artistic journey. What followed was a collaborative bond that would give rise to Sweet Rebellion, Remo's first full album.

The making of Sweet Rebellion began in earnest in April 2023, with Remo traveling to the studio three times a week to refine his vision, even as he worked various jobs to fund his sessions, music videos, and photo shoots. The album is a modern twist on '80s and '90s pop—a sound that feels nostalgic yet fresh—drawing on themes of freedom and liberation.

For Remo, Sweet Rebellion is a story of breaking free, told through diverse sonic palettes and perspectives. As the album progresses, he explores deeper themes: What happens when freedom brings uncertainty? Can the thrill of liberation last? These are questions that surface throughout the record, driving the lyrics, composition, and production.

Even as Remo moved to Dublin, the project continued with weekly video calls and constant collaboration with D’Aloia to finalize the mixes. The result, Sweet Rebellion, is an intensely personal and reflective album that channels Remo's experiences and inspirations into a compelling artistic statement. With its upcoming release, Dazaro Remo is poised to make a lasting impact on the pop landscape.
