Adam Michael O'Shea

Adam Michael O'Shea is an Irish singer-songwriter, actor and storyteller whose music bridges the rich tradition of Irish folk with the cinematic sweep of contemporary indie-pop. Originally from Waterford, his songs are rooted in the people, places and shared experiences that shape Irish life, delivered through a powerful, expressive tenor and an instinct for emotionally honest storytelling.

A graduate of the prestigious London Studio Centre, Adam was awarded the Sheila O'Neill Award for Most Outstanding All-Around Student, an honour previously presented to performers including Luke Evans and Elizabeth Hurley. Since then he has built an international performing career spanning award-winning musical theatre, television and global touring, establishing a reputation as a versatile performer equally at home on the West End stage, in the recording studio or before a live audience.

His theatre credits include the multi-award-winning production of Kinky Boots, alongside European tours of Cabaret and Oklahoma!, while his work as lead vocalist with the internationally touring Celtic Harps has taken him to audiences across Europe and North America, including appearances connected with The Voice UK and PBS America's Ireland with Michael

Before launching his solo career, Adam found national recognition as one half of the vocal duo The Púcas. Their charity single, "Christmas in Galway," produced by Mark Cahill at Ivory Studios, became a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, received support from Hot PressRTÉToday FM, and international radio stations from Ireland to New York and London, while also earning recognition from the Office of the President of Ireland. All proceeds from the release were donated to the Galway Hospice Foundation.

Today, Adam is entering a new creative chapter as a solo artist. Drawing inspiration from modern Irish acts such as Amble and Kingfishr, he blends traditional storytelling with contemporary folk-pop production, creating songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Themes of belonging, independence, friendship, family and home run throughout his work, reflecting an artist whose music celebrates where we come from while embracing the courage it takes to move forward.

His forthcoming single, "One More for the Road," perfectly captures that artistic direction. Beginning with stripped-back acoustic intimacy before unfolding into a soaring folk-pop anthem, the song explores the bittersweet emotions of leaving home to follow your own path while carrying your roots wherever life leads. The release represents Adam's most complete artistic statement to date and signals the arrival of a songwriter with a distinctive voice in Ireland's rapidly emerging contemporary folk scene.

Backed by years of elite live performance and an unwavering commitment to authentic songwriting, Adam Michael O'Shea is building a career that combines world-class stagecraft with songs of genuine emotional depth. As his solo catalogue continues to grow, he is establishing himself as one of Ireland's compelling new voices in modern indie folk.
